The South KC Block party celebrates the PEOPLE and BUSINESSES in South Kansas City working hard to help each other thrive. It‘s a wonderful opportunity for friends, families, kids, senior citizens, and businesses to meet our neighbors!
Live entertainment from nearby schools, small business vendors, local chefs, food trucks, carnival games, emergency vehicle tours, and more!
Meet more people by volunteering to help with the South KC Block Party!
We need volunteers to help us with various jobs throughout the day:
Set-Up (6am - 10am)
Carnival Game (10am - 12:30pm)
Carnival Game (12:30pm - 3pm)
Check-In/Information Booth (7:30am - 10:30am)
Check-In/Information Booth (10:30am - 12:30pm)
Check-In Information Booth (12:30pm - 3:00pm)
General Volunteer (Put me where you need me)
Tear Down/Clean Up (3pm - 4pm)
Tear Down/Clean Up Beer & Wine Garden (5pm - 6pm)

This is Kansas City’s largest and most exciting annual race event! The route takes runners on a tour of the city’s most beautiful landmarks and cool neighborhoods, including the National World War I Museum & Memorial, the Country Club Plaza, the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Waldo, Westport, the Jazz District at 18th & Vine and more.
